OXFORD, December 4, 2013 — colwiz has announced today the launch of the first HTML5 Interactive PDF Reader. Working with internationally leading academic publishers – Royal Society Publishing and Taylor & Francis – this new technology provides researchers the ability to highlight and annotate research articles of interest as they read them for the first time on the publisher’s website.
Reading a research article is inherently interactive – researchers mark sections of text, highlight important findings, write critical comments, or put notes for themselves. HTML5 technology has opened the way to a new generation of possibilities in which a researcher can interact with an article and this is what colwiz Interactive PDF Reader provides.
The colwiz HTML5 Interactive Reader completes the end-to-end research process: researchers can read Full Text PDF directly on publisher’s websites, take notes and annotations, save in the colwiz cloud, immediately access their articles and annotations on colwiz Web, Desktop, iOS and Android Apps, collaborate and discuss these articles with colleagues, and subsequently cite them in MS Word, Open Office and LaTeX using colwiz.
